What’s Covered

You are protected when you purchase through Makelaa if:

• You do not receive your order within the promised delivery timeframe.
• You receive an item that is significantly different from the description (wrong size, color, or product).
• The item is damaged or defective upon arrival.
• The seller fails to honor Makelaa’s Return & Refund Policy.

What’s Not Covered

Buyer Protection does not apply if:

• You provided an incorrect shipping address.
• The item was damaged after delivery due to misuse or negligence.
• The product falls under non-returnable categories (e.g., perishable or personal-use items).
• You attempt to complete the transaction outside the Makelaa platform.

How to File a Claim

1. Contact the seller first to resolve the issue directly.
2. If unresolved, open a claim within 14 days of delivery through your Makelaa account.
3. Provide supporting evidence (photos, order number, description of the issue).
4. Our support team will review the claim and provide a resolution.

Resolutions

Depending on the situation, resolutions may include:

• Full refund.
• Partial refund.
• Replacement item at no additional cost.
• Store credit or coupon (when appropriate).

Seller Obligations

• Sellers must comply with Buyer Protection standards.
• Failure to resolve claims fairly may result in penalties, withholding of payouts, or account suspension.

Fraud Prevention

Makelaa reserves the right to deny claims suspected of fraud, abuse, or policy misuse.
